Still Stuck on The Rivers
Our trip has been halted at this point due to the continued flooding on the Illinois and Mississippi Rivers. We will be staying with Jennifer and Jeff in Des Moines until we get the go-ahead to move further south. The yacht club where our boat is docked has been under water for the last week. Thank goodness for floating docks! There are about 60 boats in various places along the rivers who are waiting for the flooding to ebb and the debris to thin out. We are grateful for a nice place to stay while we wait. Some of the boaters are stuck in areas where they don't have any basic services. We hope to be able to restart our trip by the end of this week, but there is no guarantee. Will blog again when we are back on the water.

I'M SURE YOUR DON'T REMEMBER US. MY WIFE AND I WERE WALKING ON THE DOCK AT GRAND HARBOR MARINA WHEN YOU HAD JUST DOCKED. WE WERE PLANNING TO RUN OUR BOAT FROM TEXAS
TO PICKWICK LAKE FOR THE SUMMER THEN GO BACK DOWN THE TENNTOM AFTER
HURRICANE SEASON WAS OVER. WHICH WE DID THE 26TH OF NOV. 2009. WE FINISHED THE LOOP OCT.2 2010. WE'RE
NOW BACK AT GALVESTON BAY. WHAT A RIDE. WE'VE HAD ENOUGH FOR A LONG TIME. THE ONLY REASON WE FOLLOWED YOU IS BECAUSE YOUR THE FIRST LOOPER WE MET. SURE GLAD TO HERE YOU HAVE HOPEFULLY SOLVED YOUR PROBLEM BACK HOME. GOOD LUCK.
