Almost Ready to Go

We haven't posted in awhile because we have been so busy finishing up last minute details to get ready for our big cruise. We are planning to leaving on Monday, June 2nd, and this weekend we are enjoying the 100th anniversary of the Maryland Yacht Club. There are great festivities going on, but unfortunately the weather is not cooperating. We have been very fortunate to have met a couple of other "loopers" this past week who have given us wonderful information about various aspects of the loop. Flint is the pessimist of our group, so he is in full disaster mode right now, thinking about all the pitfalls that lay before us. We are both more than ready to take off as we have been waiting for this for a long time. There is some fear in both of us that we won't be up to handling everything that comes our way, but a little fear is a good thing. We have made all the preparations we can to make this a safe and wonderful trip and all we have to do now is loosen the lines and take off. We will post again later in the week and let you know how the first days of our voyage transpired.
